Introducing- Curbside Ordering

We are excited to introduce how you can capture a Curbside order through CityGro’s TextChat feature!  Here is a link for a 3 minute overview video of how this works:

This is designed to help you:

  • Capture a curbside order without any personal interaction or phone call from the customer.
  • Provide a safe convenient way to continue to serve your customers whether or not you are allowed to have customers in your business where you live.
  • Still provide a way where your customers can create their own cup just the way that they like it.


This IS NOT or DOES NOT have the ability to:

  • Be a POS system and capture any payment from customers
  • Be a comprehensive menu of everything that you offer for sale


Due to the complexity of the system and that CityGro is offering this for FREE through the pandemic, there is a set up fee of $25 for us to customize the ability for you to list the flavors of softserve that you are offering.  You will be required to keep those flavors up to date by logging in and changing them yourself.  This is provided that you are offering all of the recommended packages.


If you are looking to offer different packages or toppings than the set items, please reach out to CityGro to see what the custom set up fee will be (avg $75 set up fee).

  • Can I make orders that are complete disappear?
    Yes! You can close out old conversations so your inbox stays empty and there is no question if the order has been fulfilled. To do so, click on the 3 dots to the right of the name, then click ‘Mark as Complete’ to close out the conversation.
  • Can I have the TextChat app on more than one device and have more than one device open at one time?
    Yes, we do not limit how many devices you can have TextChat logged into at one time.
  • How do I change the flavors if I change a flavor?
    To change the flavors, you need to go into your CityGro account from a desktop computer, then select ‘Contacts’ on the left hand side, then select ‘fields’ just below that.  You will then need to go into each; ‘Cup 1 Flavor – LocationName’ and click on the ‘Advanced Options so you can see the flavors available. Once you finish adjust the flavors, click ‘Save’. Don’t forget to do this to Cup 2 – 5 so they all match!
  • Can I set up another admin that only has access to this and not everything else
    Absolutely! To do this, log in to CityGro from a computer, click on the business name in the bottom right and select ‘Account Settings’. Scroll down the page to the admin section. If you only want them to have access to the TextChat app, be sure to set them as a ‘Limited Admin’ and give them access to the “TextChat” module!
  • Can I download this on an Android or Apple tablet?
    Yes, CityGro’s TextChat app is available in both the GooglePlay and Apple Store.  It is available for both phone and tablet running the latest OS.

Can I add data I get from my website?

You bet! Our Web Form allows you to capture customer data from your website and have it automatically feed into your CityGro database.

What information should I capture?

Contact info should be first priority. After that, you have full control to capture additional info as needed. Popular data to collect is birthdays, names, interests, demographics, etc.
