Senior Web Developer

CityGro is looking for an excellent (Javascript && (Vue.js || NodeJS)) developer with 3+ years of experience to join our team. If this already sounds like you, we’d love to show you how fun our product is to work on and how enjoyable it is to work at our office.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Javascript mastery – It’s the language of the internet… whether we like it or not… and you’ll need to be proficient at it.
  2. Application architecture – You will be given an area of our application to call your own and will be expected to own it.
  3. Full-stack responsibility – It would be nice for you to do ONE thing REALLY well, but you’re also needed to do other things “fairly” well.  We want you to understand as much as possible about our entire system.
  4. Good development practices – This should go without saying. Your code should be a work of art and you can bet that others will see it. You’ll be expected to write and maintain unit and end-to-end tests.
  5. Desire to contribute to open-source – While we don’t open-source our entire codebase, there are many libraries that we work on that either do or would like to open-source. You should be a natural at all of the tools that make this sort of thing possible (Git, NPM, …).
  6. Having fun – Work isn’t everything. You’ve also got to have fun (for your sake and ours).
  7. Challenges, adaptation and learning – Software development would be so boring if there wasn’t something that occasionally threw you for a loop. You need to be able to adapt and find solutions to tomorrow’s problems. If you don’t already try to learn something new every day, this will be a difficult position for you.
